time for baroque.

Of all the Fall 2012 trends, baroque is my favorite. I love details, I pour over them with an OCD kind of attitude. I always think that's where the magic lies and in the words of the late Gianni Versace, "more is more". So when I saw Andrew Yee's editorial for How To Spend It Magazine,  I was completely enamored by the gaudy fairytale each picture represents. To me, the editorials you can dream about are always the best kind.

the b's wardrobe

Recently, I've become utterly obsessed with Don't Trust The B in Apartment 23. The storyline and script is hilarious in a very quirky and almost dark sense- think the opposite of New Girl...or New Girl gone evil? Either way, its got me hooked and the main character Chloe's wardrobe is the perfect companion to her witchy ways. Its a mix of sleek chic and quirky gone rogue- a great combination for anyone wanting to look effortlessly cool.

In my complete obsession, I decided to break down her wardrobe into basics and feature it as my style crush of the moment.

Accessories can make or break an outfit. Chloe's mix of sleek streamlined jewelry paired with bright red glasses are instant chic. To clarify, pulling of chic is really just the right mix of neutral pieces with one key item. Anyone looking to have some fun with this combo can switch up the glasses for red heart-shaped glasses- adding a little quirk always makes me smile.

One of the major key basics for Chloe's character are mini dresses, in every shape and color. I particularly love the craziness of this outfit.

Black is another key basic for Chloe- but hey its arguably the most universal chic color, right?. I love how they keep Chloe's outfits interesting in cute ways, adding a wide bright belt will not only cinch in your waist and accentuate curves, but also make you interesting.

I think the main reason I love Chloe's wardrobe so much is because it always looks polished and fun- if I had to pick the number one way to dress up an outfit to look chic and effortless, it would be: add a black blazer. Bam! Instant class.

do all things with love.

A summer long hiatus may seem to be the death of anyone who was once heavily involved with our media-frenzied world. Granted, I've been gone longer than a summer- and yet I've decided to come back. Life takes you to the strangest of places and all you really have to do is be productive. I'm happy to report that I'm back, I'm now studying fashion ( dreams in the making), and I'd like to rekindle my love of blogging.

Shoes from this season's 3.1 Phillip Lim and Dries Van Noten- aren't they to die for?

a starry night

Long time no see! I don't have to tell you that school has been hectic these last weeks, resulting in a shortage of post, but what I can tell you is about a magical night.

I was invited by my old friend to attend my old high school's prom. I can't really say how much that meant, because other than that first year of high school, I've been homeschooled, prom just always seemed like something out of reach. So, after her invitation, you can imagine how crazy it got making sure all the details were just right. I'm proud to announce everything went peachy keen. And I can finally show you some instagrammed pictures!

Le shoes! We all know this is a challenge, finding the perfect pair that won't kill your feet because you'll actually have to dance in them! I don't even remember where I picked this pair up, but they were some of the most comfortable evening sandals I've ever worn.

It's funny how things happen, when I was first invited I saw a picture of this "Dream Dress" from David's Bridal in a magazine, but didn't give it a second thought since I was originally going for a skin-tone dress. After about two months of searching, I decided to take a gamble and order this one to see what it would look like on. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It seamlessly achieved the old hollywood look I was going for. You can't tell very well from the pictures, but its covered in gold flecks like a starry night, a perfect description for the evening after all.

Next week school is finally over and I'm already planning outfits for some outfit post!

cozy time

I could go on and on about how ridiculous school is right now, but I won't. You're on my dream blog, anyways, right? So, instead I'm going to get really personal and show you a couple detail snaps of my bedroom. I think I've finally got it to look the way I want.

Yes.....my bed is in my closet. I took out the sliding doors, ditched the hanging pole and created my own little Christmas-light nook. I know what you're thinking, is it somewhere along the lines of, "WTF!?" My closet now exists in the form of boutique-like shelves and a clothing rack.

I have a feeling this Sunday is cozy time!

I pinky promise, outfit post soon!

hey there lady

I love a clean lady-like ensemble with a little bit of attitude. This editorial is full of clean-cut looks with diva attitude- the only way to pull it off, of course!
